Tendering and Commercial Engineering role for a leading supplier of Power Stations and the supply of equipment and services to the Nuclear Industry.
Our client is a leading provider of precision equipment design and project management services to the UK nuclear industrial and defence sector.
As part of an ongoing expansion programme we now require a Commercial / Tendering Mechanical Engineer to strengthen our commercial team.
The person will be responsible for the implementation and co-ordination of mechanical engineering tasks associated with the timely submission of winning tenders.
Responsible to the Tendering Co-ordination Manager for management & administration of mechanical engineering estimates, statements of works and scope to tender preparation.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate:
- Experience of producing mechanical engineering estimates and engineering commentaries.
- A knowledge of engineering applications, ideally relative to Industrial applications.
- Determine overall requirements in terms of cost, time, resource and technical content of mechanical design activities.
- Design and formulate plans which satisfy these requirements.
- Liaison with key suppliers to ensure best value is obtained.
- Presentation skills to ensure submission of a compliant tender and an attractive tender document.
- Ability to recognise improvements in existing processes and confidence to implement changes as required.
Degree or HNC qualified with relevant experience you will demonstrate an ability to undertake technical work, with a minimum of supervision at a level consistent with the qualifications and experience.
